All FLEX Global applicants compete in a rigorous, multi-round competition to be selected for the program and are selected by trained evaluators and staff based on their demonstrated ability to adapt and thrive away from home in a new culture for a year. The program anticipates, based on data from previous similar programs, for over 40,000 students to apply for one of 1,000 finalist slots. Finalists are motivated, hard-working, and committed to the program.
